2. How to Install Marks & Spencer Greetings Card Maker and Clipart Collection

Please note that you should close any open Windows programs before installation.

1. Insert the CD marked Marks & Spencer Greetings Card Maker and Clipart Collection into the CD or DVD ROM drive with the label facing up.
2. The Marks & Spencer Greetings Card Maker and Clipart Collection installer should start automatically (If not, select Start and then Run and enter 'D:\Setup.exe' where D: is your CD or DVD drive).
3. Follow the install instructions on screen.
4. The welcome screen will appear, click Next.
5. Please read the license agreement. If you accept it, please choose 'I accept the terms' and then click Next to continue with the installation.
6. Select the install location. The default is 'C:\Program Files\Marks & Spencer\Greetings Card Maker'. If you wish to change the default location, click on Browse to alter. Then click on ‘Next’.
7. Select a Program folder. The default is 'Marks and Spencer'. You may type a new folder name, or select one from the existing folder list. Click on Next to continue.
8. This screen gives you the option to not install the 10000 clipart collection. Click on Next to continue with the installation.
9. The installation will now copy the necessary files to your PC.

10. Click on Finish to complete the installation.

    You may need to restart your PC after the installation has completed.

    You can select Marks & Spencer Greetings Card Maker and Clipart Collection from the Start Menu.

3. I get an error message about COM during the Installation on Microsoft Windows Vista. What does this mean?

On some PCs running Microsoft Vista, there is a timing problem that results in an error message being displayed during installation.

The installation will in fact continue and complete, and Card Maker will start and run normally.

4. How do I use the Mail Merge facility?

To use the mail merge facility, you will need to install the addtional mail merge console application.

This can be downloaded from here absolutely free of charge:

• MailMerg.exe

Simply click on the link above, and when asked, select Run in the dialog box that appears. A further dialog box may also pop up. Again, select Run.

When the Mail Merge Console installer appears, follow the on-screen instructions, clicking Next, then Install, and finally Finish when asked.

Now, the mail-merge icon in the Greetings Card Maker application will work. Further instruction on how to use this facility can be found in the software's help files.
